Item Description
Parents can bid on a one-day internship for their son or daughter (high school or college students only) in the New York Yankees PR department during a 2013 New York Yankees regular season non-premium home game. As an intern, your son or daughter will have the opportunity to spend a day in the Yankees' front office at the new Yankee Stadium and receive a tour of the team clubhouse. Additionally, he or she will be able to personally deliver game notes to Manager Joe Girardi and assist in his daily pre-game press conference. He or she will also be given a mention in the game notes as a guest intern for the day. Following the press conference, the son or daughter will be given on-field access to watch batting practice from the field or dugout. Before the start of the game, he or she will also have the opportunity to have dinner in the press dining room with members of the Yankees' local and national print media. At game time, your son or daughter will be able to sit in the press box with the Yankees' media relations department, as well as get an inside look at how a game is broadcast by spending an inning in the WCBS Radio booth with John Sterling and Suzyn Waldman, and an inning in the TV broadcast booth with the likes of Michael Kay, Ken Singleton, Al Leiter, John Flaherty, David Cone and Paul O'Neill. Finally, the Yankees will provide a personalized, in-game message on the scoreboard, recognizing the son or daughter for their hard work.

- Excludes Premium Games. The term "Premium Games" is defined as the Opening Day game, the Old-Timers' Day game and all home games played against the Boston Red Sox, New York Mets, Los Angeles Dodgers and San Francisco Giants.
- Game must be mutually agreed upon.
- There is no guarantee that batting practice will be conducted on the selected date.

Net proceeds from this auction will go to support the Carlos Silva Family through the SVG Sports Broadcasting Fund. Silva, a native of Caracas, Venezuela, has been a producer and engineer for Yankees games on WCBS Radio 880 AM since 2006, and is currently battling espohagal and stomach cancer.
